Gilstad Literacy Foundation, Inc. recently received a $1,050 donation to support the Charlotte County Imagination Library program. This donation from the Punta Gorda Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association was presented during their meeting on December 11th. Members collected $550 for the program during October, and ABWA President Alexia Martin provided a match of $500. She stated “By fostering literacy at an early age, you are not only enriching young minds but also empowering the future leaders of our community. We here at Monster Self Storage here in Port Charlotte wants to host a Blood drive with the big Red Bus in front of the Storage company. But in order to do so we need to get at least 25 people saying they will be here to donate their blood.
