Get your glow on during the 2nd annual Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) 5k Glow Run at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at the Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the FSW Lee Campus in Fort Myers. Check-in opens at 5 p.m. All proceeds will benefit FSW Bucs Athletics. Registration is $35. Light up the night as you run around FSW’s beautiful campus. This fun run takes place after the sun sets, so bring your glow sticks and neon attire to create a mesmerizing spectacle as you traverse the 5-kilometer course. The FSW 5k Glow Run promises an unforgettable evening of fitness and fun. Racers will have an opportunity to mingle with FSW student-athletes and coaches before, during, and after the race. Food trucks will also be on-site pre- and post-race. FSW’s 5k Glow Run is sponsored by Belfor Property Restoration, Skanska, and the Community Foundation. Parrot Outreach Society presents: "Beak-a-Mania". Take a trip back to the 60s to enjoy the music of the Beatles. Rich cultural experiences are coming to the heart of Punta Gorda/Englewood Beach as ZimSculpt, a renowned exhibition of Zimbabwean stone sculptures, returns to Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens. From February 8 through April 20, 2025, the Gardens will host over 2,000 hand-carved stone sculptures. The exhibition, which is only presented in North America once a year, offers a rare opportunity to view and purchase these unique works of art. Two artists will be on-site daily, demonstrating and sharing insights into the stone carving process.
