Leadership Charlotte hosts its first alumni reunion
April 1, 2024
On Thursday, March 21, the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce held its 1st annual Leadership Charlotte alumni reunion. The event was held at TT’s Tiki Bar at Four Points by Sheraton Punta Gorda Harborside.
Our Leadership Charlotte Program is in its 35th year, being the premier program of our organization. What a legacy — 35 years, 870-plus alumni, and over $900K given directly back to our community.
We had 100 attendees showing their support, engagement and love to the connections that have been made through this incredible experience and result of each and every Leadership Charlotte year. We even had five alumni representing the programs inaugurated in the year of 1989 … amazing! Special thanks go out to our Leadership Charlotte Alumni Sponsors: McCrory Law Firm, The Daily Sun, Farr Law Firm, Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic, Ashley, Brown & Smith, CPA’s, and Punta Gorda Marina.
Each alumni brought two nonperishable can goods with their color label on it. Nothing like a little friendly competition amongst colors. Congratulations to Blue for winning the can-stacking contest with a structure of 88 inches high.
The hundreds of canned goods not only created a fun way to celebrate our camaraderie, but it also benefited the Homeless Coalition, as they received all the canned goods for their food pantry.
