    Chamber Mission Statement: The Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance the prosperity and general welfare of its business members and the community they serve.

    Mission: To retain members to perpetuate the Chamber and enable it to achieve its mission.

    •Chamber ACTION
    Chair:  Mike Ruiz, Charlotte Sun
    Meets: First Tuesday 8:00 a.m. Port Charlotte office
    Mission: To support Chamber activities on a regular or on-call basis. Along with providing valuable education about the Chamber, joining Chamber ACTION can lay the foundation for more in-depth involvement, and the heightened visibility you receive provides more recognition for your business.

    •Christmas Parade
    Chair: Ron Thoms, Harborwalk Scoops & Bites
    Meets: Monthly August through December
    Mission: To plan the annual Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade to be held in December each year.

    Government Affairs Division – Alyson Burch, Charlotte State Bank & Trust

    Mission: To establish and maintain representation and information flow for Chamber members regarding government issues by proactive involvement in the governmental process.

    Meets: As needed
    Mission: To develop new and existing community leaders by providing an experiential education of the heritage, resources, opportunities and business environment in Charlotte County.

    •Junior Leadership Charlotte
    Chair: Kelly Carr, H2U at Fawcett
    Vice-Chair: Laurene Anderson, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Department
    Vice-Chair: Stacy Jones, Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes and Cremation Services
    Meets: As needed
    Mission: To develop positive leadership qualities and a sense of community among our youth. It is an interaction between today’s community leaders and tomorrow’s future leaders. It is designed to heighten the awareness of the needs of our community and to show each person how they can make a difference. It is about the careers and life-style available to everyone who chooses to call Charlotte County their home.

    •Leadership Charlotte Alumni
    Chairs: Leadership Charlotte Class Presidents/Designees
    Mission: To further develop community leaders and maintain relationships established through Leadership Charlotte to assist the Chamber in implementing its vision of Charlotte County.
