Write Your Own Obituary: Your Story. Your Words. Your Legacy.

We are excited to host a unique and meaningful community workshop titled "Write Your Own Obituary: Your Story. Your Words. Your Legacy."

This event is designed to help individuals reflect on their lives, capture their memories, and create a lasting legacy for their loved ones. The workshop will take place on: Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Kays Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes, 635 E. Marion Avenue,  Punta Gorda, FL 33950. 

Participants will receive guidance, tips, and compassionate support as they begin writing their own obituary. No writing experience is necessary—attendees simply bring their thoughts and memories, and we help with the rest. This workshop provides an opportunity for individuals to document their stories, values, and life experiences in a thoughtful and empowering way.
